S45C is a kind of super heavy steel for mould .The equivalent material of S45C steel is C45,C45K, CK45 .S45C super heavy steel usually use for injection plastic mould, mould frame and some middle-range machine .

S45C mould steel plate with carbon content over 0.4%,and material S45C steel has good wear resistance, but the ductility decreases, quenching distortion and cracking easily, so the heat treatment for S45C steel material is very important, and must be rapid cooling after tempering, to avoid the temper brittleness.
